What is MaTE?
MaTE is about managing a technical environment.
MaTE trains your people who lead so they get the best out of their workforce and they do the job they're paid to do, do it well, do it safely and get it right. MaTE improves productivity, profitability and makes your business the best in the business.

As often is the case the best technicians get promoted to leaders, but often as not they don't know how to manage people, that's where MaTE comes in.

The principles of MaTE can be applied to any industry where there is a highly technically competent workforce that are often promoted into management roles. This includes Utilities, Construction, Engineering, Facilities Management, NHS (Health Estates) and Power and Energy.

Who is Develop?
Develop transforms people.
At Develop we train technicians across all utilities, and we are very good at it. Ask AMEC, National Grid, Rolls Royce or BAA, they'll back us up.
From experience we know that to improve productivity you need to improve people and managing a technical environment can be a difficult job if you don't know how to manage people. We've been training technicians for 10 years, and we know what makes them tick, we know the environments they work in, the issues and the challenges that they face.
In other words we know their job. We also know a lot about behavioural training, we have a separate division dedicated to management training, so we combined our technical expertise with our Behavioural know-how and built MaTE.

We put your leaders in situations they will face on-site and specific to your business, we call this 'Real Play', not role play, and it's tough. Our MaTE trainers put their experience to practice in very detailed workshops that test the capabilities of your leaders to the limit.
